wax models for figures
fundamental differences
readily admitted

like kindred spirits
mysterious in origins
as allegorical self-portraiture

blurred softly
post hemming and hawing
via offbeat scenes of repurposed serenity...

mere playthings all the while froth rises 
while lying in the thyme joining in the file
with piping cries becoming suddenly quiet

like lost outposts of our minds
now off of the Isles blinking eyes 
biting abided time, "Aye! Aye!"
exorcising of spikes so much for spite
the sweet bye-and-bye 
of a late summertime rite...

of delicate connexions
with subconsciousnesses
as non-subjects
in and of themselves

devoid of formalities
conjecturing insufferably
like restrictive principles
inconsistent to subdivisions
within fictitious influences

disguised by garments
as aberrant arbiters in scarlet
depicting epic dramas
in lofty themes deemed initially
as "The Omnipotence of Thought"

brought to the fore in the form
of "True and False" futilely flagging
allegorical cautions tapering off
in glorious choral performances
purportedly seemingly "All at Once"...

Never mind tumbling volatility
fear gauges climbing due to bellicosity
over extended periods of blasted baddies
peppery brasses operatic pit bands
all purely about sound taken out of character

donning blue-gray refugee chic
for pinnacled political elites
with waning memories sliding into senility
when put "Oh too bluntly!" eliciting
crippling grief cloaked in dark anxieties

yet pretending otherwise
while on the sly finally
being surmised
as a flickeringly
fitful twilight...

banding rainbows
twist after twist
in and out of limits

wistful gray vistas
standing timber
Big Dipper...

only slightly memorable
upended revelry
heard perplexedly
while racketing overhead
headed toward saccharine pastels

camouflaged as necessary
pulverized oyster shells
as aquatic scents from blue depths
along hometown edges
of familial referents

tent-pole concepts
of tendencies lest anyone forget
what's in front of them
as circumspectly "momentest"
best of intentions

becoming motionless and still
incomplete pictures of timeless images
of only slightly hinted performances
all in new forms in memorium

inward-outward glory floating grace
more likely to flee than to chase
favoring the wary over the brave

firmer less playful feeling sorely afraid
seeking to be saved cells lighting up our brains
campfires ambiguous prey collecting data
of predation unable to escape

leopard eagle snake reawakening
past generations of displaced behaviors
barely mutilated modulated
in amygdala orchestrations

vulnerable afraid eliciting a once-sacred
ghostly landscape brilliantly bathed
with the forces of sudden revelation
having gone well beyond the grave...
