blackend by a bright white
nightmare of silence
steeped deeply in denials?

all with broad smiles by private eyes
piloted by plaintive cries of pied pipers
heard as slender, vertical strands of light
seen as supertitles by our actual eyes

while seeking advice imprecisely acquired
via neuron firings from flight to fight
choosing two lives like ticks and lice
of flesh and desire recently wilded in disguise
feeling preoccupied in double time
losing our minds taken in stride...

Fast- evolving major targets
tens of billions of dollars
without direct knowledge
hitting hard at the Oscars
asking, "How will our stars
rattle politics and tweak ideologies?"

as seen clashing on big screens
flashing fruitlessly as overlapping series
from season to season for the, "not-so-squeamish-
too-toxic-even enemies of the people
during up-and-coming weeks

spouting acceptance speeches
while rallying at National Academies
experiencing upheaval to a woeful degree
via disagreements from "The Supreme Leader"
within strengthening un-democracies

ostensibly being unleashed by "fake" media
doing as it pleases yet greeted warmly
by ticking off commanders-in-chiefs
via committees of firm believers

while remaining in the custody
of "We the People" willfully pleading,
"Not Guilty!" gleefully lobbying
for badges of honor prompting
fresh news conferences

etched microscopically by robots
of memory products doing superior jobs
in increasingly common micro-chip plots
glowingly symbiotic silicon avatar partners
garnering governing bodies
chronicled on "The Red Carpet" spotted
committing glaring faux pas...

unpredictive sentiments

sent into uncalculated spaces
newly renovated
both fractious and breathtaking

mostly celebrated
in a restless daze
joyfully intoxicating

like a great many
landscapes painted
of a very personal nature

under assumed names
seen as commonplace
for comparable cravings

spared heartaches by classical pasts
via the greatest numbers of travelers
stretching way way back
as offhand masses held for ransom...

like abstract infinity
dwindling into pieces
erupting spontaneously
into nonstop psychedelia
beach ball spheres
over light years

wearing thin
pensively sitting
full-figured skin lit
from a single window

archival materials
long dainty fingers
nimbler new digs
in periwinkle and pinks

etched on currency
not for everyone
hallucinogenic wonders
forever shortcutted
in tremendous numbers

temperamentally jealous
and plenty venomous
external threats
boundless menaces

but still looking majestic
while playing the percentages
slim and elegant
exaggerated necks

tossed heads
in backward directions
huddling together
pretty well

making demands
and feeling anything but sad
living happily forever after
all with abandon...

savvy underclassmen

complicated tales
of scary televised ads

running the gambit
with slogans that last
in between chasms
of partisan stands

filling nooks
and crannies
with eye-popping
wonderlands
well within grasp...

overlooking calamity perceived
as grandeur ambered book and candle
in passing at once factual and fantastic...

and their notorious signatories

left with nothing
to do but smile
and roll our eyes
while peering
out from behind
the not so sly

loudly decrying
the tantalizing
priorities of life
without even trying
within shining
spiral nebulae
externally
compiling
the insides
of our minds
just for spite
all in lotus style...
