while skipping ahead undocumented

biblical references up ended
without discretion
turning to the back entrance
widely affiliated with deaths

left unprotected
like theological imperatives
for unsettled nonmembers
focusing in retro

proposed aggressively
perceived threateningly
feelings of fear
and vulnerability

evoking grandeur via long stanzas
through leveled embattlements
of gladiators past saddened
in ample shadow without distraction

overcome by perhaps
as rapture for the masses
of dedicated naturalists
vanishing thereafter

being taken to task
by early travelers
within small chapels
sparingly lifted veils...
