over extended periods of blasted baddies
peppery brasses operatic pit bands
all purely about sound taken out of character

donning blue-gray refugee chic
for pinnacled political elites
with waning memories sliding into senility
when put "Oh too bluntly!" eliciting
crippling grief cloaked in dark anxieties

yet pretending otherwise
while on the sly finally
being surmised
as a flickeringly
fitful twilight...

banding rainbows
twist after twist
in and out of limits

wistful gray vistas
standing timber

only slightly memorable
upended revelry
heard perplexedly
while racketing overhead
headed toward saccharine pastels

camouflaged as necessary
pulverized oyster shells
as aquatic scents from blue depths
along hometown edges
of familial referents

tent-pole concepts
of tendencies lest anyone forget
what's in front of them
as circumspectly "momentest"
best of intentions

becoming motionless and still
incomplete pictures of timeless images
of only slightly hinted performances
all in new forms in memorium

inward-outward glory floating grace
more likely to flee than to chase
favoring the wary over the brave

firmer less playful feeling sorely afraid
seeking to be saved cells lighting up our brains
campfires ambiguous prey collecting data
of predation unable to escape

leopard eagle snake reawakening
past generations of displaced behaviors
barely mutilated modulated
in amygdala orchestrations

vulnerable afraid eliciting a once-sacred
ghostly landscape brilliantly bathed
with the forces of sudden revelation
having gone well beyond the grave...

impractical planes

depending on angles
new heights being attained

reinforced corners
for three stories
inevitably exaggerated
and highly praised

like undulations
of tracery innovations
in between bays
conspicuously graceful
and even greater

agonized faces
displaying
up-to-date traits
crowded spaces
miniature paintings

all done by laymen
at a leisurely pace
well under way
in the first place
suffice it to say
while making
final arrangements...

for King Kongs for example
by exchanging banter
with golden-haired handmaidens
staring open-mouthed
on versions of long-playing albums

spinning at high capacity
zeroing in on class
as celebrities behave
badly in tall tales

tragically flashing back
into hatdscrabbled arrogance
stressing the fragile
and approaching collapse

whispering, "Why exactly?"
being left unanswered
seen trailing maladaptive
software packages...
